Hi, I’m Hendrene Mintchev, Principal and Owner of Toddies Preschool & Crèche. I’ve been caring for little ones here in Olivedale since 1999, and after more than 25 years, watching children grow is still what gives me the greatest joy.
Toddies started as a small, family-run school and has stayed true to that ever since. Families have passed through our doors by the generation: brothers, sisters, and now the children of children we once taught. As owner and principal, I’m personally involved at every level, every single day.
Our teachers are well-qualified and highly experienced, and our low adult-to-child ratios mean every child gets the attention they truly deserve. By the time our little ones leave us for Grade 1, they can already read and write, confidently bilingual in English and Afrikaans.

You’ll find Toddies at 32 Jessie Road, cnr Christo Avenue, Olivedale, Randburg. It’s a short drive for families in Olivedale, Northriding, Bromhof, Ferndale and Sundowner.
We’re open Monday to Friday, 06:00 – 18:00, with flexible hours to suit working parents. The easiest way to get a feel for Toddies is simply to come and see us. Every day is Open Day, so come any time.
